Whats involved in our Roof Sealing | Roof Coating Cupar

First we need to remove the moss algae and licens from the roof, there are 3 ways we can do this (see below) Then depending on which method we have used to clean the roof, we will then apply a biocide treatment killing of any remaining spores. The roof will be checked from broken or loose tiles and any re poitning that may need done. We will then carry out the repair works, after any repairs are done we will then apply coats of our Roof Sealer or Roof Coating. We then apply another treatment of bioicide to fursther protect the roof in years to come. Our treatment can last up too 5 years. Due to diffrent conditions we offer a 3 year moss free gurantee.

Pressure washing

Starting from the top and working downwards so no water gets up under the tiles and into the loft. This is the most effective and quickest way of cleaning the most roofs

Soft Wash Roof Cleaning.

The process involves applying a chemical to the roof tiles via low pressure to eliminate moss, algae and other pollutants. Please keep in mind moss HAS to be removed my hand prior to the application of the cleaning products. This type of roof cleaning in Cupar can in some cases take considerably longer to clean. It will depend how badly the roof is covered in moss. NOTE: Soft washing a roof does not remove lichens from the roof instantly (yelolow/white marks on the roof) these can take over a year to fully degarde. We wont paint over them either as it can cause the coatig / sealer to flake. We would need to steam the lichen or pressure wash it off.

Steam Cleaning. The steam/superheated water will remove moss, algae, fungi and other biological matter and will also kill off spores. This means there’s then no need to use a chemical biocide during the removal process or as a protection against further biological activity.How does it work?
DOFF cleans stonework and masonry using high temperature steam. Whilst the temperature in the system is high, the pressure on the surface being cleaned is very gentle and the volume of water is low. The surface is therefore not saturated and will be dry within minutes.
